30 December 2014, My first Christmas In Temple Square – We celebrate our Saviors birth..

My Christmas was amazing :).

We had a Christmas breakfast in our apartment with a few Sisters. It was a lot of fun talking about the different traditions the Sisters have in their families :)).7 countries

We then had a Christmas Devotional as a mission, which was beautiful. A lot of musical items, I sung in the Polynesian group song.

Sister Barros and I excited for the mission Christmas devotional

We then were spoiled by some members, they donated gifts for all the sisters here. We got a blanket that is labelled Temple Square Mission, a sack full of goodies and a music CD ๐Ÿ™‚Gifts from members in Salt Lake City. Thank you. We love our Temple Square blankets

Then we went to work as usual in the afternoon.

This week the world came together to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. We know Him as the Savior, Redeemer, Son of God and Prince of Peace.

“The first gift was not wrapped. Had no bow. Wasn’t purchased online. Or in a store. The first gift of Christmas was a simple gift, a sacred gift. It wasn’t gold, or frankincense or myrrh. It was a gift of love, and life and peace and hope, given by a Father to all His Children. For God so love the world. And so loved you and every single one of us. He gave His Son. He is the Christ. He is Christmas. He is the gift. This Christmas season discover the gift. Embrace the gift.” – He is the Gift.

A new year is approaching…to many this is an opportunity for change, new beginnings and resolutions. Deeper and eternal change is possible because of Him. Because of Jesus Christ. “…this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3: 13-14. This new yearย  press forward toward God with more diligence and devotion.

Forsake those things that are holding you back from partaking of the love of God! I promise you that with the help of the Lord, you can accomplish all things!

There are times where we may think as Laman and Lemuel… In 1 Nephi 3:5 we read of them, “now, behold thy brothers murmur, saying it is a hard thing which I have required of them; but behold I have not required it of them, but it is a commandment of the Lord.” I have a testimony that if the Lord brings you to something He will provide a way for you to do it. This week I have felt my burdens lifted through Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ is waiting to help you and us all. You must take the first step and embrace Him. Partake of the gift of the Atonement.

“The past is to be learned from but not lived in…and when we have learned what we need to learn and have brought with us the best that we have experienced, then we look ahead and remember that faith is always pointed toward the future.” Jeffrey R. Holland.

You can become who God intends you to be by partaking of the gift of Jesus Christ. I love you all! I know Heavenly Father loves you and has a plan for you. It is the best plan! ๐Ÿ™‚

Happy New Year! Make the next better than the last. ๐Ÿ™‚
